We get this question a lot! At YazJewels, we believe that vintage and antique jewellery has an enduring, one-of-a-kind beauty that modern jewels simply can’t match. Each vintage jewel is a unique piece of art that carries a long history, making it so much more special than mass-produced items. And because it stands the test of time, vintage and antique jewellery is also a great investment and a more sustainable choice.

It can also save you from potentially overpaying for an item if you’re not market-proficient or experienced in bidding. When was the jewellery made? 
Our jewellery collection spans from the late Victorian period (1890s) to Contemporary pieces of the late 1990s. You can refer to each jewel’s description for information on the year/era of making. Don’t forget to visit our blog for fascinating details on each jewellery period!
 What’s the difference between your fine jewellery and costume jewellery collections? 
In our fine jewellery collection, you’ll find high-end jewels made of precious metal (solid gold, sterling silver, or platinum) and enhanced with genuine natural gemstones like diamonds, rubies, or sapphires. Fine jewellery is great for everyday wear, as it’s very durable and made to last. 
Our costume jewellery collection features highly crafted fashion jewels made with gold-plated base metals (brass, copper, aluminium) enhanced with faux and imitation stones. Vintage costume jewellery can still hold high or collectable value, as it was expertly crafted to parallel the styles of its fine counterparts and provide affordable alternatives for ordinary people, looking just like the jewellery worn by the elite classes.    
Where do you source your vintage and antique jewellery? 
All our jewellery is sourced from reputable auction houses or established antique and vintage dealers across the USA and Europe.
I’m buying an item as a gift; does it come with a gift box?
All our jewellery comes wrapped in the YazJewels luxurious packaging and is accompanied with a thank you card, which can be used to send your customised message. Fine jewellery items come with velvet boxes and travel pouches, while costume jewellery items arrive in velvet pouches.
Does your jewellery come with certification that guarantees its authenticity?
All the jewels from our collections are accompanied with an information card describing the jewellery composition, type and carat of the metal/stone, and details of the era of making. 
All fine jewellery with substantial diamonds comes with an IGI Diamond Certificate describing the diamonds' clarity, colour, and carat size.
Do you offer a warranty against damage?
Antique and vintage jewels have lived a life or two, so we advise our clients to treat them with extra TLC. We don't offer a warranty against damage, but we’re always open to discussing any issues with the purchased jewellery. Costume jewellery may drop a crystal or rhinestone if not handled with care, so we’re always happy to help with such repairs.

Do you offer jewellery appraisal services?
We don’t have a resident licensed jewellery appraiser, but we can certainly help you identify the age and estimated value of your jewellery. We can also assist you in building or trimming your collection or even defining a collecting strategy based on your taste and preferences.

How often do you get new items? 
Our jewellery collections are enriched by two major drops, one often around the holiday season (November-December) and another closer to spring-summer. But since we’re always on the hunt for new vintage treasures, we also have sporadic drops throughout the year based on our acquisitions and what we can score from our travels. 
How can I sign up for notifications about new collections?

Do you have a physical store that I can visit? 
We currently don’t hold a physical store, but we’re happy to arrange an appointment for you to view the item/items you’re interested in at a location of your choice in Dubai, UAE.

We also participate in several events across the country so make sure you sign up for our newsletter to stay up-to-date with our upcoming pop-ups.  
How can I see the jewellery before making a purchase?
We try to provide as many details and imagery about our jewels on our website and Instagram page and hold regular pop-up shops at events across the UAE. We’re always happy to send you additional images and videos of the item you’re interested in to help with your decision. Depending on the item’s value, we’d be happy to arrange a private viewing at a location of your choice.

How do I figure out my ring size? 
You can follow these simple steps to figure out your ring size: 
  1. Wrap a piece of paper or string around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen.
  3. Measure the string or paper with a ruler in mm.
  4. Pick the closest measurement on this ring size chart to find your ring size.
Can all the rings on your website be resized?
Not all vintage rings can be resized. You can find information on resizing the rings on our website in each item's description. A ring might not be suitable for resizing for numerous reasons, including:
  • the location of the hallmarks on the ring
  • the style of the band
  • previous resizing
  • if it's textured 
  • if the gold is set in a particular design that once melted cannot be restored in the same design. 
Resizing vintage and antique rings is a lot more complex than resizing modern rings, so we recommend seeking help from a jeweller with experience in antique and vintage jewellery.


Do I need an account to place an order? 
Yes, you need to create an account to place an order on our website so we can send you an invoice and tracking number for your order.

I didn’t receive any order confirmation; what should I do?  
Please check your junk folder to ensure our email hasn’t been swallowed up somewhere along the line. If you still can’t locate our email with your order confirmation, please email us at or reach out via our WhatsApp chatbox. 

Can I cancel my order after I’ve placed it?  
You can cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it.

Can I reserve an item?
Yes, we can hold items upon request.

What payment methods do you accept? 
We accept payments with Visa and Mastercard and bank/wire transfers. You can pay for your order via our website, or we can send you a payment link. You can also pay for your order in four equal instalments at checkout.
What currencies do you accept?
Our payment gateway accepts all currencies. However, if you wish to pay via bank transfer, kindly note that your funds will be converted to UAE Dirhams.
Can I pay for an item in instalments? 
Yes, you can pay for your jewellery item in instalments by using our buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) option at checkout. Here’s how it works: you pay 25% at checkout and then three instalments over a three-month period. 
Please keep in mind this is capped to items valued at AED 7000 ($1900). For higher-value items, you can combine BNPL and immediate payment.

Do you offer safe and secure checkout? 
Yes, we use an internationally-renowned, secure payment gateway used by global brands to guarantee that our clients’ card details and information are secure.
Will I be charged VAT?
No, since we’re currently a VAT-exempt business, you won’t be charged any VAT.

What countries do you ship to?

How much does shipping cost?
Local shipping within the UAE is complimentary. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the country of destination.

Will I be charged import duties or taxes? 
Import duties or taxes may be charged depending on the destination country's laws and regulations. Kindly note that YazJewels will not be liable for any customs, duties or tariffs.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Local shipping within the UAE usually takes up to two days from the time of order.
GCC and international shipping outside the UAE can take seven to ten business days. 
Can I change my delivery address after I’ve placed my order? 
You can change the delivery address for your parcel as long as the order hasn’t been already dispatched. Please contact us directly at to check if the shipping stage of your order allows the desired changes. 

How can I track my order? 
You will receive your tracking number by email for GCC and international orders. For local orders within the UAE, you will receive a WhatsApp message from our team informing you when your order is out for delivery. 

I didn’t receive a tracking number; what should I do?

My order status shows ‘delivered’, but I haven’t received it; what should I do?

My parcel arrived damaged, what should I do? 
At YazJewels, we endeavour to pack our customers’ orders securely and with the utmost care. In the unfortunate event that your parcel arrives damaged, please email us at with a photo of the damage, and we’ll be happy to discuss convenient ways to resolve the matter.


How do I redeem my gift card?
To redeem your YJ gift card, simply type the gift card's unique code into the designated box at checkout. The gift card amount will then be deducted from your total order and gift card balance.

How can I check the balance on my gift card?
Upon using a YJ gift card, you will receive an email confirmation stating the remaining balance on our gift card. Please save this email for future reference.

My gift card number is not recognised at checkout; what should I do?
Please double-check your gift card number and try typing the code again into the designated box at checkout.

If I return an item purchased with my gift card, will I get a new gift card for the same amount?
Yes, upon returning an item you purchased on our website with one of our gift cards, you’ll receive a new gift card for the same amount as the one you redeemed. Please allow two to three business days for processing. 


What's your return and exchange policy? 
In the event that you’re not satisfied with your purchase, we’ll be happy to arrange a return or an exchange with another item from our website of equal or higher value. Please email us at within 10 days of receiving your order to arrange a return or an exchange. 
Kindly note that returned jewellery items must be neatly packed in the original packaging and in the same condition they were received. Please refer to our Return & Exchange Policy for more details.  

Will you refund my shipping fees if I make a return? 
No, shipping fees are non-refundable at the moment.

When can I expect my refund?
Please allow seven to ten business days for the refund to be processed and show up on your account.

Can I receive my refund in a different bank account?
For security reasons, we are currently unable to refund payments in a bank account different from the one used in the original transaction.  

Does vintage jewellery require special care?  
Any jewellery requires proper care and attention to maintain the beauty of the finish and the gemstones. Our jewellery comes from various eras and features vintage and antique pieces that have lived a life or two. That’s why taking extra care of your pre-loved jewels is crucial for avoiding scratches or damage to any stones. 
We recommend removing your jewellery when washing your hands, using cosmetics, working out, swimming, doing housework or gardening. Make sure you store your vintage or antique jewellery in its pouch when not worn, and take it for professional cleaning once a year.

Should I insure my vintage or antique jewellery? 
Insurance of time-honoured antique or vintage jewellery is a personal choice and one that we certainly encourage our customers to consider when it comes to substantial and rare pieces.
