Signed by Marvella, an iconic American costume jewellery brand founded in 1911. The company had many subsidiaries and used several different hallmarks over the years, making it easy for collectors to date the items. It’s famous for producing costume jewellery with faceted beads and “the loveliest pearls made by man”, as well as pieces designed by acclaimed designer Kenneth Jay Lane. The brand was bought by Trifari in 1982 and later sold to the Monet Group, and they stopped using the Marvella hallmark in 2016.
